Gold for the Binsted's

In May of 2024 our world was turned upside down, when our 2 year old, Sam, was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. 
He’s been fighting for his life since. We were inpatients at Sick Kids for almost a month, then at Ronald Mcdonald House. Now we go between Sick Kids and Peterborough POGO Satellite Hospital multiple times a week. 
He’s undergone 3 solid months of intense chemotherapy. So many blood and platelets transfusions that I’ve lost count. He’s had 8 laparoscopic treatments, 3 laparoscopic surgeries, and 3 surgeries in the big OR. 
We’re 3 months into his 2 year treatment plan.
His strength and bravery is admirable. 

Between 1,000 to 1,200 children are diagnosed yearly with cancer. These families lives are forever changed.
It is the leading disease causing death in children, yet research is incredibly under funded.
